What size canopies do you offer?
Projection or open span from 1m – 12m, depending on style of carport (projection measurement will always include gutter). Length: We can go to any length required.
How do I know your canopy will fit my specific requirements?
We do not hold a stock of standard canopies or canopy kits, our full range of canopies are bespoke made to order across to fit every area perfectly.
What if the area I need covering is tapered?
Tapered/unusual shaped canopies are easy to achieve because of our roof system and all products are made to order, therefore covering the area is no problem.
What colour can I have my carport/canopy?
Our standard colours are White, Brown and Anthracite Grey but we can manufacture canopies in any RAL colour.
Can you install a carport on a bungalow?
Yes, although additional structural brackets may be needed depending on what style of canopy is required.
Do you do a supply only option?
No, all of our products are supplied and installed by us and our team of fitters.
Is the carport strong enough to withstand Durban weather?
Yes, our product has structural calculations that have been calculated by an independent body and we have ZERO failures across our full canopy range. We can genuinely quote this fact.
Is your range of canopies walk safe/can I walk on the roof sheet?
Never walk on GRP rooflight sheeting, irrespective of it’s non-fragility classification. Even GRP rooflight sheeting that is designed to be non-fragile for the life of the roof could be damaged by foot traffic, and this may affect both the non-fragility performance and the light transmitting quality of the GRP rooflight sheet in the long term.
GRP rooflights are extremely durable and their strength will be retained in the long term. However, the period of non-fragility of these rooflights may vary depending on the possible effect of external factors, unless fully documented maintenance procedures are sufficiently comprehensive to ensure prevention of any factors which could render the rooflight assembly fragile. Most typical maintenance regimes are not usually sufficient to achieve this; in the interests of safety it is prudent when accessing roofs incorporating these rooflights to take full safety precautions.
Whilst other companies portray a walk safe roof with videos (a sales gimmick), this is promoting an unsafe practice on a sheet that is NOT in any way a walk safe product. The only difference between all canopy companies using the fibre-glass sheet is the profile/shape.
Is planning permission required?
Generally anything under 30 square meters that is an open sided structure and the property is not in a conservation area would not require planning. However a quick call to your local council or checking the planning portal should answer any of your questions.
Do the sheets used comply with building regulations?
The rooflight products we use are fully compliant with the Building Regulations requirements for fire performance, tested to BS 476 Parts 3, 6 & 7. Moreover, because the sheeting is made from thermosetting GRP, it’s use is not constrained by the Building Regulations thermoplastic considerations. It also has a highly durable UV protective surface film.
How do I clean the carport if it gets dirty?
Due to the biological resistance coating on the fibre-glass roof sheet that we use, the sheeting is resistant to attack by micro organisms, fungi, larvae, insects and mildew. Washing with a mild detergent and soft bristled brush or sponge will easily remove any deposits.
Where do you supply and install canopies?
We cover South Africa
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, we require a small deposit.
How long will the installation take?
Installation times will depend on the size of the canopy. However, most canopies are fitted within a day.
What debris/waste will be left after the installation?
Our fitters clean up after installation.
Can you remove & dispose of my old carport?
Removal and disposal of an existing canopy can be carried out by us although a charge is applicable for this service. We have a waste carriers licence to comply with our ISO 14001 accreditation. We also ensure that minimum wastage is sent to landfill by recycling what materials we can.
What is your lead time?
Our lead times are currently running at approximately 1-6 weeks (This is subject to change) depending on the style of canopy.
How do I pay the balance?
The balance can be paid by bank transfer, cheque or cash.
